On Wednesday 19 April 2017, the renowned historian of South Asia and author of numerous academic works, Dr Mujeeb Ahmad, visited Shaykh Muhammad Imdad Hussain Pirzada at Jamia Al-Karam. During the visit, he had the opportunity to tour the campus of Eaton Hall, see the projects of the institution and address the senior students, before being hosted by Shaykh Pirzada for dinner.

Dr Mujeeb Ahmad was accompanied by Sahibzada Syed Lakhte Hasnain Shah (chairman of Muslim Hands and head of City Hasanat College, Birmingham), who also addressed the students of Jamia Al-Karam.

Dr Mujeeb Ahmad currently leads the Department of History and Pakistan Studies at the International Islamic University of Islamabad, after previously being at the University of the Punjab. His PhD research thesis was titled ‘Barelwis and Their Religio-Political parties in Pakistan, 1947-1971’.

Dr Mujeeb Ahmad remarked that he had been eager to meet with Shaykh Pirzada and visit Jamia Al-Karam during this first visit of his to the United Kingdom, since he had heard much about Shaykh Pirzada and Jamia Al-Karam as a result of his acquaintance with the Zia-ul-Ummat, Justice Shaykh Muhammad Karam Shah al-Azhari (ra), from whom he has been inspired and has studied his written works.
