East Midlands Special Branch deliver seminars at Jamia Al-Karam

On 17 November 2016, Jamia Al-Karam welcomed PC Mohammed Asif and his colleagues from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit (Special Branch).

During their visit, two seminars were held with the students examining radicalisation, far right extremism, counter strategies and challenges ahead. The seminars consisted of presentations, discussions and group activities.

PC Asif also met with the Vice-Principal, Bakhtyar Pirzada al-Azhari, and commented on his joy at visiting the institution for he had studied some of the written works by Shaykh Muhammad Imdad Hussain Pirzada over two decades ago including the acclaimed juristic work ‘Islamic Way of Worship’. The Vice-Principal presented a collection of the recent works of Shaykh Pirzada to the guests including the recent books ‘I am a British Muslim’ and ‘ISIS: State of Ignorance’.
