On 17 May 2017, Jamia Al-Karam warmly welcomed students and staff from the Mattersey Hall College near Doncaster and hosted a football match between student teams from the two institutions on the grounds of Jamia Al-Karam at Eaton Hall. Mattersey Hall is the AoG Pentecostal Bible College for the UK.
Although the weather was clearly not dry with rain pouring down, it was a wonderful game of football with both teams playing very well. The day was a great way of coming together for sport and building cohesion and understanding.
Mattersey Hall College gifted Jamia Al-Karam with a symbolic Olive Tree in the spirit of unity, peace and solidarity. During half time, the tree was planted in one of the lawns of Jamia Al-Karam. The Principal, Shaykh Muhammad Imdad Hussain Pirzada, also attended the occasion, watched the match and joined the guests for refreshments after the game.
